Setting up an FDAC
For practitioners, judges or commissioners who are interested in starting an FDAC, introductory guidance to setting up an FDAC will shortly be available on the website. In the meantime it is recommended that anyone interested contacts CJI directly.
Available also are the FDAC Service Standards, a set of key indicators which describe the key elements of the evaluated FDAC model and the FDAC Business Case – ‘FDAC: The Case For Investment’. The business case provides an intensive and comprehensive rationale for the development of an FDAC.
Each FDAC is unique. It is designed to fit the local area it serves, working alongside existing services, responding to the needs of local families, and building on local funding and partnership arrangements. This means that while all FDACs follow the same core model, they are shaped around their community’s infrastructure, demographics and commissioning relationships.
CJI are able to provide additional resources associated with project planning and timeframes, governance, training and practice development, outcomes frameworks, data collection & reporting including example job descriptions for members of the specialist team.
